xAI is seeking funding
Having managed to raise $135 million, xAI still needs to raise approximately $865 million to reach its $1 billion goal. So far xAI has released the Grok chatbot, which pits itself against OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Google’s Bard, or Anthropic’s Claude AI. According to the website, Grok will have a “rebel streak” and will answer trickier questions that other AI bots don’t deal with.
Although Grok has been around for two months, it is currently only being tested by a very limited number of users. In the future, Musk plans to release Grok artificial intelligence as a beta for X Premium + subscribers. The detail that makes the chat robot Grok interesting is that it has instant access to real-time information published on X. Although access to instant up-to-date information sounds nice, distinguishing between false and true information will be key.
Musk was a co-founder of OpenAI, but left the board in 2018; Recently, Musk has been critical of OpenAI, particularly for causing great confusion and concern in the AI industry by firing and rehiring CEO Sam Altman in November. However, although it is not an easy task to raise $ 865 million for xAI, Musk, one of the most powerful names in the technology world, can overcome this challenge.
