Tesla CEO Elon Musk has stepped up his criticism of Dogecoin (DOGE) co-founder Jackson Palmer, claiming that the Australian software developer never wrote a single Dogecoin (DOGE) code.

DOGE co-founder said they didn’t contribute much to the project

Co-founder Billy Markus, one of the prominent supporters of famous billionaire Elon Musk, said that neither he nor Palmer initially thought it was anything but a joke. He tried to ease the tension by tweeting that he didn’t contribute much to the project that was meant to be nothing. Musk praised Markus’ “sense of humor” and added that these two features are a big part of Dogecoin’s popularity.

Conflicting with the crypto community in 2015, Palmer criticized billionaire Elon Musk as “a swindler” at the height of the Musk-driven Dogecoin craze last year. It also went viral after tweeting that crypto is controlled by a “powerful cartel”. The Australian software developer has become more active in the crypto space by releasing a new anti-crypto podcast called Griftonomics. In a recent interview, Palmer said that Musk once ran a simple Python code he wrote for himself to deal with cryptocurrency spam. Palmer also added that the Tesla boss isn’t really good at coding. Apparently, this expression got on Musk’s nerves.

Elon Musk: “Jackson is a pawn”

Earlier today, Musk responded to Palmer and said, “When my kids were 12, he wrote a better command than the crappy command Jakcson sent me… “Jackson is a pawn,” the Tesla boss added. The Dogecoin co-founder defended his scenario, where he claimed to be able to detect less sophisticated phishing attacks. Considering that Palmer’s anti-Musk comments have been in the mainstream press lately, he may be trying to divert the Dogecoin narrative away from the controversial billionaire.
