Elon Musk reportedly wants to cede his post as CEO of Twitter. Musk, who has been a Twitter manager for about two months, is trying to reduce his control on social media. In fact, Musk’s search for a new CEO started before the poll asking users on Twitter whether he should resign.
Is Elon Musk stepping down as Twitter CEO?
Elon Musk, who has been on the agenda almost every day due to his moves and crazy steps, started a vote on Twitter with huge participation the other day. More than 57 percent of those who voted wanted him to step down. While the results of the survey were criticized, it was claimed that Musk started looking for the new CEO.
There were many discussions during the two-month period that Musk was the Twitter CEO. The name, who dismissed more than half of the employees, also became the agenda with the changes he made in the content control policies. Twitter Blue was problematically activated, and advertisers cut off ads over concerns about Musk’s “absolute freedom of speech” approach.
Although Musk previously said that he will temporarily manage Twitter, he stated that there is no new executive candidate. He said it may be difficult to find someone who can “keep Twitter alive” as a result of the survey conducted the other day.
It is still unclear who will take over as the CEO of the social media platform. However, it was claimed that some people from within the company could be candidates for Musk’s seat.
Musk’s two-month Twitter adventure also affected other companies, especially the fall in Tesla share prices. Discussions on the platform shook the trust in the famous entrepreneur and led to questioning his ability to manage a company.
