It was revealed that US businessman Elon Musk secretly instructed his employees to shut down the Starlink satellites near the Crimean coast in 2022 in order to prevent the Ukrainian army’s attacks on the Russian navy.Musk feared that Russia could use nuclear weapons if the attack was successful. This news was given by CNN, referring to the biography of the businessman “Elon Musk”, written by Walter Isaacson, which will start selling on September 12. When Ukrainian unmanned underwater drones wrapped in explosives approached Russia’s fleet, “they lost communication and retreated without causing any damage,” according to the book.
Ukraine begs Musk to open Starlink
Elon Musk discussed the Starlink outage with US Presidential National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, Chief of Staff General Mark Milley and Russia’s Ambassador to the US. Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Mikhail Fedorov also wrote a letter to Musk, “begging him to restore the communication of unmanned underwater drones.”
