Elon Musk shared a video on his Twitter account that shows what he believes people will land on the Red Planet in the future. The video shared by Twitter, Tesla and SpaceX CEO shows the landing of two Falcon Heavy rockets that completed the USSF-67 mission recently.

This is how Musk will land people on Mars

The USSF-67 mission performed by SpaceX carried satellites of the US Space Force, as in the previous USSF-44 Falcon Heavy mission. The main satellite on the USSF-67 mission was carrying the SATCOM 2 (CBAS-2) satellite, which will be positioned approximately 35,700 kilometers above Earth. In addition to this satellite, 5 more small military satellites were also moved into orbit. According to the statements, other satellites generally aim to improve the space capabilities and communications of the US warplanes.

By the way, SpaceX doesn’t use Falcon Heavy rockets often. In fact, more than 3 years have passed since the USSF-44 mission. Apart from these two missions, Falncon Heavy made three more flights: June 2019, April 2019 and February 2018. The Tesla Roadster was launched on the 2018 flight.

In addition, the Falcon Heavy is powered by 27 Merlin engines, generating more than 5 million pounds of thrust. The SLS rocket used by NASA in the Artemi 1 Moon mission is currently the most powerful rocket in the world. But SpaceX is preparing and testing a separate rocket system called Starship for Mars missions. The Starship rocket will land humans on the surface of Mars and offer a cargo capacity of 100 tons. Starship will launch with 33 Raptor engines from the launch pad with a staggering 16 million pounds of thrust. However, no date has been announced for the planned flight so far.
