Elon Musk Introduces Twitter’s New CEO

Elon Musk has been wanting to step away from his CEO position since the day he bought Twitter. That said, Musk opened a poll early on in his Twitter acquisition, consulting the community about whether he should stay in his post. Finally, he announced that he had handed over his duties to someone else in a tweet today.

Several Tesla investors were concerned that Musk was too busy running Twitter and had to dedicate his time to running the electric vehicle company, of which he was also the CEO. However, Musk said on Twitter that the new CEO, an unnamed woman, will take office in about 6 weeks.

Musk wrote in his tweet:

“I am excited to announce that I have hired a new CEO for X/Twitter. He will be on duty in an estimated 6 weeks! My role will evolve to be the chief executive officer and CTO, overseeing product, software and systems administrators.”
