Artificial intelligence is coming to Twitter
According to the reports, Elon Musk provided the processing power required for the artificial intelligence project. Musk allegedly recently bought 10,000 graphics cards to be used in one of the company’s two existing data centers. What Twitter is aiming for with this project is unknown, but the social media platform is expected to be a generative artificial intelligence model trained on a huge wealth of data. It is suggested that a generative AI could augment the platform’s search functionality or help the company rebuild its advertising business.
In any case, it is quite colorful and interesting that all these claims come after Musk called for a six-month pause in artificial intelligence development. It is unclear exactly what Musk wants to do, but it seems that he will prepare a rival against OpenAI, of which he is one of the founders. In the meantime, let’s mention that OpenAI is the owner and developer of artificial intelligence tools such as ChatGPT, GPT-4 and Dall-E.
