SpaceX has long been waiting for the US Aviation Administration (FAA) decision for the launch permits of the next generation rocket. Accordingly, the FAA allowed SpaceX to launch the Starship rocket, provided that it fulfills certain conditions. After the approval of the FAA for the Starship rocket, Elon Musk made a statement on the subject. According to the statement made by SpaceX CEO, the next generation rocket will be launched very soon.
Starship rocket launches into space in July
Elon Musk said on Twitter that the next-generation Starship rocket will be ready for its first orbital test flight in July. Accordingly, SpaceX, which has been preparing for this launch for a long time, will soon make the rocket ready to launch. The company still needs to get the necessary permissions from the FAA before launch.
After the launch planned in July, Elon Musk showed August for the next mission. It seems that SpaceX plans to carry out monthly launches without wasting time after the permission received. Elon Musk’s tweet includes the following statements:
Starship will be ready to fly next month. I was in High Bay and Mega Bay late last night to review progress.
There will be a second Starship ready to fly in August and will continue monthly thereafter.
Starship rocket, approximately 120 meters long, is the most powerful spacecraft ever launched will be. The rocket, which accelerates space travel with its reusability, will also allow to reduce mission costs. Once tests are complete, this powerful spacecraft is planned to carry astronauts to the Moon and possibly Mars.
SpaceX has yet to test the Starship rocket only in high altitude flights. The new spacecraft will also be subjected to the first orbital flight test in July. If Starship’s tests are successful, this rocket will also be used in the manned flights planned by NASA to the Moon.
As it is known, NASA plans to send the first female and black astronaut to the Moon before 2025. A version of Starship is planned to be used in this mission. This vehicle can also be used to carry the necessary equipment for the base project that NASA plans to establish on the Moon.
Let’s see what the Starship rocket will show us at the launch in July. So what do you think about this subject? You can share your views with us in the comments section.
