According to Musk, such a robot will change the world more than Tesla’s cars. The humanoid robot called Tesla Bot was announced at the Tesla AI Day event held in August 2021. However, we have yet to see a working prototype.
Tesla Bot features
Tesla Bot will take on dangerous, routine and boring jobs for humans. The humanoid robot is 172 cm tall and weighs 56 kg. However, let us remind you that its maximum speed is 8 km / h and its load carrying capacity is 20 kg.
The humanoid robot will have the same artificial intelligence system as Tesla’s driver assistance technology, also known as autopilot. Musk especially emphasizes that the Tesla Bot cannot run as fast as a human and will not be strong. Thus, people will be able to stop Tesla Bot with their hands or escape from it during physical contact.
