Hyperloop , one of Elon Musk’s craziest projects, emerged as a new transportation system for vehicles to travel more efficiently at high speeds. Stating that vehicles can accelerate to 1000 km / h with the help of low pressure tunnels with the Hyperloop project, Musk established the company called The Boring Company to implement this plan.
Hyperloop tunnels get new stops
As part of the Hyperloop project, Boring Company first built a 4.3 kilometer underground tunnel in Las Vegas. The company, which allows Tesla-branded vehicles to travel through this tunnel, has now received the necessary permission to prepare new tunnels .
With the new tunnels added, users will have access to different parts of Las Vegas . By adding stops such as Stratosphere and Fremont Street to the route, the scope of the tunnels is getting ready to be expanded.
When the tunnel network called Vegas Loop is completed, it is planned to have a length of 46.6 kilometers and 51 stops . Currently, only a small part of these tunnels are active. Tesla Model X and Model Y vehicles are used at this stage in the tunnel that reaches the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Tunnels, which are not yet in line with Elon Musk ‘s plans, can be defined as a different route just to avoid traffic. At the CES fair held this year, the participants do not seem to be affected by the current state of the tunnels.
These tunnels with a capacity of 70 vehicles may become more useful with the expansion of their scope. With the permission, The Boring Company aims to establish a transportation network that brings together the most popular stops in Las Vegas. The company made the following statement on Twitter about the latest developments:

Elon Musk, on the other hand, announced in a statement he made in the past months that The Boring Company will begin testing the first “full-scale” Hyperloop system this year. After the latest developments, it seems that we will have the opportunity to see the tunnels of The Boring Company in different ways in the near future.
