Elon Musk announced at an event held in the USA yesterday that the brain-computer interface company Neuralink will start implanting chips in people within the next six months. The American entrepreneur, who said that one day he will have a chip installed on his own head, also added his family to the event.Elon Musk stated that he would not be bothered by a brain chip developed by Neuralink being fitted to one of his children. Musk says he won’t hesitate to implant a chip in one of his children if they suffer a serious injury, such as a broken neck.
“We are at a point far from being dangerous”
Speaking at the event held at Neuralink’s headquarters, Elon Musk said, “I can say that we are at a point where this is not dangerous, at least to me.” Neuralink’s brain-computer interface aims to enable people with paralysis to communicate through their thoughts.
