Elon Musk, who has never been on the technology agenda in recent years, has now started to discuss the price of the Mars ticket. In a recent interview, the SpaceX CEO said that the “hypothetical price” of $100,000 for a ticket to Mars would suit everyone.
Musk’s space company SpaceX will build a self-sufficient city on Mars in the coming years. He plans to transport humans to Mars with his Starship rocket and start a new life on the planet. Elon Musk, the richest person in the world, gave some advice to people who want to go to Mars.
Elon Musk wants you to find 100 thousand dollars for Mars
Elon Musk, who made interesting statements in his last interview with TED President Chris Anderson, is on the agenda again. Anderson asked the possible price of the trip to Mars and whether that ticket would go for a few hundred thousand dollars.
Elon Musk said that the price of a seat on the rocket that will go to Mars will be determined by economic factors. According to Musk, about one million people will be needed to build a city on the red planet. That’s why he believes Mars travel should be priced to fit any budget.
Elon Musk made an interesting statement in the 46th minute of his conversation with Chris Anderson. According to the richest person in the world, if it costs 100 thousand liras to go to Mars, anyone who saves this money can go to Mars:
“For argument’s sake, if it costs 100 thousand dollars to move to Mars, I think almost anyone can work and save, he can finally have $100,000 and go to Mars if he wants to. We will deliver (to Mars) everyone who wants to go.”
Musk also said that various aids can be obtained to go to Mars. The SpaceX CEO also advised to consider other possible sources of financing, such as being backed by governments or taking out a bank loan.
Although Elon Musk gave an example over 100 thousand dollars, the cost of going to Mars may be more. In his previous statements, he claimed that he could organize a round-trip tour to Mars between 100 thousand and 500 thousand dollars.
