At the beginning of this week, an unappreciated account on Twitter came to the fore all over the world. The account in question, named ‘Elon Musk’s Jet’, instantly shared every point where SpaceX and Tesla CEO Musk’s private jet went. The account automatically shared each time the private jet took off or landed.
Although Elon Musk’s Jet account has been active on Twitter for a while, what made this account popular was a news that emerged last week. According to the news, Elon Musk offered $5,000 to Jack Sweeney, the owner of this account, who is only 19 years old, to delete the account. Speaking to Business Insider today, Sweeney saw the potential to turn this into a much bigger opportunity.
He wanted $50,000, not $5,000.
Elon Musk, in his offer to Sweeney, “Can you delete this account? This is a security risk.” had made a statement. On this offer, Sweeney said, “Is there a chance to increase the offer up to 50 thousand dollars? It would be of great help in college and get me to buy a car, maybe a Tesla 3. had replied. Elon Musk, on the other hand, left this answer unanswered.
Speaking to Business Insider, Sweney decided to share this offer with the public. Thinking that Musk has lost interest in the proposal, Sweeney said, “He moved towards my opposite, why shouldn’t I move against him?” He said, “I worked hard on this and 5 thousand dollars is not enough.” made a statement. He also stated that the $5,000 offer will not replace the “fun” of his work on this bot account.
Although Elon Musk has taken some measures to make it difficult to track his private jet after these events, there has been no development about the proposal yet. In the message that Musk made the first offer, it was announced that he did not find it right to pay for this account to be closed.
