Twitter did not have encrypted messages before. Since this feature was not available, Twitter employees had the chance to see your messages directly. So there was an opening for users in the privacy part of the job. However, thanks to this incoming encrypted message feature, there is no such problem anymore. This feature is similar to the “end-to-end encrypted message” feature in the same WhatsApp system.

With the arrival of the new feature, the owners of many large accounts will be sprinkled with water. You may remember that there was a cyber attack called “big bitcoin hack” in 2020. After this attack, the private messages of many crypto money platforms that have accounts on Twitter leaked to the internet world.
In 2021, there was a data theft on Twitter. Taking advantage of a zeroday vulnerability on the application, the hacker stole information such as e-mail addresses and phone numbers of 5.4 million accounts. He then sold this data for a substantial sum of money.
According to Musk’s statements and current news, the feature will come in March 2023. However, it may also be active at a later date. Because after Musk bought the company, he laid off many employees. In other words, Twitter today works in a limited way, not at full capacity. This puts the team back in speed.
