Twitter’s owner, multi-billionaire Elon Musk, has not been able to make users fully accept any action he has taken since the day he took over the platform. Whether it’s a Twitter Blue subscription, a Tweet view limit to reduce spam and bots, or a DM view limit, none of them are fully established features.
On top of all this, we recently learned that, as Musk himself stated, Twitter will merge with X Corp and become an ‘everything app’. It has been learned that with the latest developments, he will also change the name of Twitter.
“Twitter will lose its birds”
Announcing that he plans to change the platform’s name and logo, Musk said he will replace the blue bird, which Twitter says is its most recognizable asset, with a “good X logo.” Stating that he would bid farewell to Twitter’s brand and birds, the famous billionaire also expressed that he wanted to make Twitter an “everything application”.
Stating that he would use Twitter as a fuel to create X when he took over the platform in October, Elon Musk asked his followers for a logo for X in his posts this morning and shared a logo from the answers received within 1 hour.
After that, he shared and retweeted a group of photos containing X. He also officially confirmed that the Twitter.com domain will change to x.com. It is not yet clear when all these events will take place.
Twitter’s domain will also change:
