Elon Musk, owner of X, announced today that he will launch a new feature that will allow making calls through the app without any phone number. The new all-in-one platform has made serious strides for DOGE, BTC and altcoin payments over the week.
Elon Musk will offer audio and video calls on X
The Tesla boss today announced a new feature for its innovative platform X, which will launch soon. In his last post, he reported that the video and voice calling feature will come to X soon. The development in question is garnering widespread attention, especially among the crypto community.
In his tweet, Musk stated that the upcoming feature will enable video and audio conversations on the X platform. It announced that this will also cover iOS, Android, Mac and PC users. In particular, it was interesting that a phone number would not be required for these calls. This serves the purpose of X to be an effective communication network around the world.
Musk’s post raises users’ curiosity about when this feature will be available. At this point, Elon Musk added that the tech entrepreneur function will be available “in the future.” The latest announcements represent the first direct confirmation of voice and video calls on the X platform. However, this isn’t the first time Elon Musk has talked about this feature. Andrew Conway, the designer working on the X platform, created a stir among users by sharing screenshots showing the functionality of the feature in July.
X licensed for crypto payments from 7 US states
The new US product super-app X, supported by Elon Musk, has been accepted from different states of the USA in recent months. As we have quoted as Kriptokoin.com, Rhode Island granted a money transfer license to the platform earlier this week.
Elon Musk wants X to go beyond social media posts and become an “everything app”. The new platform has collected licenses from the states of Arizona, Maryland, Georgia, Michigan, Missouri and New Hampshire since June. Musk is now after national payment systems like Venmo or PayPal. Meanwhile, Rhode Island, the latest licensing state, has given the green light for crypto services, as well as payments.
The Rhode Island Department of Business Regulatory (DBR) states in the FAQ section of its website that firms that require approval “include companies that transfer money for their customers, including traditional wire transfers (such as Western Union) and wire transfers (such as PayPal).
