Cryptocurrencies became the most prominent instruments in the process that started with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. From the Ukrainian official account accepting cryptocurrencies as donations to the establishment of a DAO for Ukraine, the crypto community has struggled to stand by Ukraine. In particular, donations made with Bitcoin attracted the attention of even those who are not interested in cryptocurrencies all over the world.
President of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, who tweeted about all this tense environment, said, “The true value of Bitcoin is now seen more clearly all over the world.”
Bitcoin rose 13% in the last 24 hours and 17% in the last 7 days. As we mentioned in our previous news, after the sanctions against Russia, the number of Bitcoin whales increased. There has been a surge in the number of wallets containing more than 1000 Bitcoins.
Bitcoin was trading around $43,290 at the time of writing.
