After the Russian invasion of Ukraine, many countries and companies literally turned their backs on Russia. Many sanctions were imposed, from the restriction of Russia’s sports activities to stopping the sale of Apple products in Russia. In fact, Reddit had restricted Russia’s Reddit thread due to ‘baseless allegations’.
A new one has been added to the companies applying sanctions today. Electronic Arts (EA), known for its world giant games such as FIFA and NBA, announced the sanction it has imposed on Russia with a statement made on the official Instagram account of EA Sports today.
No more Russian teams in FIFA

EA Sports used the following statements in a statement;
“ EA Sports, like other names in world football, is in solidarity with the Ukrainian people and wants peace and an end to the occupation of Ukraine as soon as possible.
Together with our partners in FIFA and UEFA, we have started the process of removing the Russian National Team and Russian football teams from EA Sports’ FIFA products FIFA 22, FIFA Mobile and FIFA Online. We are actively implementing similar changes in our other games.
We will keep our community informed of any action taken, and thank you to all players who have been patiently waiting during these updates.”
EA Sports officials have officially announced that they have removed Russian teams from all sports games, especially FIFA games, with this statement.
