Today, we can witness moments that we are not accustomed to seeing with ultra wide-angle lenses and drone cameras. The company, which produces action cameras with 360-degree viewing angles, has realized a project that will change the way we perceive the Earth. The company called Insta360 sent the ONE X2 model action camera into space.

This time, we saw the Earth, which we are accustomed to seeing with videos and photographs recorded by the International Space Station, through a camera sent by a camera manufacturer to the atmosphere. The camera, which was attached to the high-altitude balloon by the company called New Make It, reached a height of about 31 km and showed full performance even at -56 degrees.

Insta360’s goal was to test the ability of the layers to withstand extreme temperatures as the camera moves away from the atmosphere, which is waterproof up to 10 meters. The ONE X2 model camera, which is water resistant, has a touch screen and various artificial intelligence-supported editing features, can produce images with a resolution of 5.7K with a 360-degree viewing angle. The device, which adapts to all weather conditions in the sky for about 2 hours, also has a high battery power that allows 80 minutes of continuous shooting.

Insta360 mounted a ONE X2 camera on a space balloon with a selfie stick. The stick was later removed from the image thanks to the camera’s artificial intelligence algorithms. Within the scope of the project, a 360-degree panoramic view of the Earth was created. The company posted a video of the camera’s take-off and some shots of the sky on its official Instagram account, “Who is Elon (Musk)?” shared with the note. The project, which was unique before, was viewed by more than 300 thousand users and received many comments.
