FIFA 23 still has a long way to go, but Electronic Arts is already preparing for the future of FIFA. The company announced that it has established an unprecedented multi-year partnership with the Spanish LaLiga, which hosts iconic clubs such as Real Madrid and Barcelona, starting with the 2023-2024 season. As it is known, FIFA 23 will be the last FIFA branded EA game and will be replaced by EA Sports FC. This agreement means a lot to EA in terms of license rights.
While the deal will cover the top 2 football divisions in Spain, along with annual youth tournaments and official esports competitions, EA has announced that it will reveal more details about the partnership in the coming months.
EA’s deal with LaLiga isn’t the only one. EA has announced a number of partnerships recently as it prepares for the future of the football franchise. FIFA 23, the final link in the company’s FIFA series, which has announced many partnerships, including the top women’s leagues in England and France, and the return of Italian giants and Juventus that are not in the FIFA series, will be released on September 30.
