It has been announced that the endurance e-sports series Le Mans Virtual Series, which is followed by motorsports enthusiasts, will return this year as well. At today’s press conference, Motorsport Games Inc. It was stated that the 2022/2023 series of the event organized by the Automobile Club de I’Quest will start next September.

The event, which started in September last year and ended with the 24-hour virtual Le Mans race in January, included many famous names from the motor sports world, such as F1 champion Max Verstappen, and received great acclaim. The return of the virtual event was announced with the press conference held before the world’s most famous endurance race Le Mans, which will be held on 11/12 June.

Entrants will compete for prizes of up to $250,000

According to the announcements, the 2022/2023 leg of the Le Mans Virtual Series it will take five rounds just like the previous one. It was also stated that the sim races will be held on the rFactor 2 platform, the first race will be in Bahrain and the last race will be the 24-hour virtual Le Mans race. In addition, it was also among the statements that the participants would compete for a prize pool of up to $250,000. The calendar of the event is as follows:

  • 1. Round – 8-Hour Bahrain (September 17, 2022)
  • 2. Round – 4-Hour Monza, Italy (8 October 2022)
  • 3. Round – 6-Hour Spa, Belgium (5 November 2022)
  • 4. Round – 500 Mile (804 km) Sebring, USA (December 3, 2022)
  • 5. Round – 24 Hours of Le Mans (14/15 January 2023)

In addition, it was stated that the event will have many world-famous sponsors. Accordingly, brands such as Rolex (watch), Thrustmaster (hardware), Total Energies (energy) and Goodyear (tyre) will attend the event. The CEO of Le Mans Virtual Series also drew attention to the success of last year’s event and stated that they will try to be even more successful this year and that they will attract the attention of e-sports followers from around the world.
