After the summer break in Formula 1, the period called triple-header and three weekend races started last week. This weekend, Formula 1 hosts the last champion Max Verstappen’s hometown in the Netherlands.

In qualifying at the Zandvoort circuit, in general, the drivers managed to achieve very close times in the first two sessions. In the first session of the qualifying laps at Zandvoort, which is a relatively short track, all 20 drivers were ranked within 1 second.

Is this a football match?

While there was a party atmosphere in the stands in the Dutch GP, the fun increased with the participation of two DJs. While there was no remarkable event in the first session, Latifi who was eliminated in this session, Vettel who went off the track in the last sector despite achieving the fastest first sector time, Ricciardo, whose future is uncertain and announced that he will not race next year, Kevin Magnussen of Haas and Valtteri Bottas of Alfa Romeo it happened.

In the second session, things started to get very interesting. Dutch spectators cheering throughout the qualifying laps threw torches at the start of the second session. The torch thrower was removed from the arena, but the session was stopped in the meantime. A group of pigeons, which came to the lawns around the track due to the food leftovers flying from the stands, did not leave the track despite the 15 race cars passing by them. Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Fernando Alonso, Zhou Guanyu and Alex Albon were eliminated in this session.

Max Verstappen was the first to hit the track in the last session, the only driver among active drivers to have achieved a pole position on this track. The Dutch GP was back on the calendar after a very long hiatus last year. Towards the end of the session, another torch was fired from one of the most expensive stands, but this time the session did not stop as the torch fell far from the track. Leclerc, who was in first place in the final moments, improved his own time, but Verstappen went on a lap 21th of a second faster at the last minute. The yellow flags that came out with Sergio Perez’s accident in the last sector, who was on his own time tour, prevented other pilots from passing this time.

Verstappen was once again the first person to start the race to be held tomorrow. The names that will follow him will be Leclerc and Sainz. Hamilton will start the race in 4th place and Perez in 5th place. The pilots who completed the top 10 were Russell, Norris, Schumacher, Tsunoda and Stroll, respectively.

In Formula 1, the Dutch Grand Prix will be held at 16:00 tomorrow.
