Privacy-focused search engine DuckDuckGo allegedly no longer lists results from some major pirate websites, including The Pirate Bay, 1337x and Fmovies. In addition, it was stated that the sites of YouTube copying tools such as youtube-dl and youtube-mp3 are not included in the search results.

Clarified from DucDuckGo

TorrentFreak is the search engine’s now leading youtube-links for both streaming and related ripping sites and video downloads, such as Fmovies, The Pirate Bay, 1337x, as well as Flixtor and 2conv. It claimed that the dl tool didn’t list it in the search results.

This move of the search engine was seen as a move to prevent piracy, but it was explained by DucDuckGo that it actually happened due to a technical problem.
