Called Uber for £4500 to help Ukraine

The interesting Uber taxi call incident that took place in Greater Manchester, UK last weekend is on the social media agenda. A 34-year-old woman named Leoni Fildes wanted to call an Uber after drinking too much, but the trip was to Ukraine, not her home.

Stating that he does not remember this taxi call that took place at night, Fildes said that his bank called him in the morning and he thought that his card was used for fraudulent purposes. It was learned that Uber made nine attempts to withdraw the £4500 payment, but did not withdraw because there was not enough money in the account.

The woman with two children said that she more or less remembered calling for an Uber when she was drunk. The woman, who wanted an Uber XL to go to Ukraine comfortably, said that the conversation quickly got out of control and she claimed that she could take a taxi to the war-torn country.

“I woke up when my bank called me, thinking that my card was used for fraudulent purposes. Uber tried to withdraw the payment from my account nine times. I don’t know what I would do if Uber let me call a taxi.”

Making a statement on the subject, Uber said that no trip under these conditions “cannot be made successfully” and that it has started an investigation for the initiative regarding making the payment nine times.
