The Sims 4, which first debuted in 2014, managed to become one of the key productions of the series. Although it has been eight years since its debut, it has managed to retain a lively player base thanks to the content packs it has received.
With EA’s latest campaign, you can get The Sims 4 for free on all platforms. From Origin or Steam for Windows; For PS4 and Xbox, you can add it to your library from the app store. Sims 4 Freeplay and Sims 4 Mobile are free for Android and iOS.
In addition to making The Sims 4 free, it turns out that The Sims 5 is on the way. The new game, called “Project Rene”, will take the series to a different dimension. The name Rene refers to words like innovation (renewal), renaissance and rebirth, according to the developer’s statement.
Project Rene is designed to be a very detailed simulation. The press release, published with Sims Summit, says it will include “arranging a bed’s furniture piece by piece, adjusting elements like the color and pattern of the bedspread.”
Lyndsay Pearson, Vice President of The Sims Franchise, said, “From the very beginning, The Sims defined life simulation games and has continued to become an incredible platform for creativity and self-expression. We are pushing the boundaries to create new experiences.”
The Sims 5 or Project Rene release date is unknown for now. However, it should not be overlooked that the game is at a very early stage.
