Twitter went through a name and logo change a while ago. Upon Elon Musk’s sudden decision, it was stated that the “X” brand would be used instead of Twitter. However, millions of people were not happy with this decision. A developer has developed a Google Chrome extension where you can return to the iconic Twitter bird instead of the X logo.
Bring back the iconic Twitter bird with the Chrome extension
While Twitter’s rebranding as “X” sparked controversy, some users began to oppose the change. Elon Musk introduced his new brand at the beginning of the week, replacing the iconic bird logo with the “X” symbol.
While Musk tried to make Twitter an “everything app”, many users complained about the loss of the bird logo. A software developer listened to these complaints and created a Google Chrome extension that reinstated Twitter.
The working logic of the extension is quite simple. After installing the extension in Chrome, when you refresh the page you will see the “X” logo change to the classic bird. However, since there is no official software, you may encounter occasional crashes or logo disappearance.
On the other hand, in a news that emerged the other day, it was claimed that the light-colored theme for Twitter would be removed. According to Musk’s statement, Twitter is on the way to serve users only with dark mode.
Twitter currently offers several different background options based on the user’s personal preference: light mode, dim mode with dark blue/gray background, and dark mode called lights off. According to the statement made by Musk, the dim mode and light mode options will be removed from the platform soon.
