Roketsan announced that it has developed the Çakır, a new generation domestic cruise missile with a range of over 150 kilometers, which can be launched from land, sea and air platforms. Çakır can be used in unmanned aerial vehicles as well as aircraft and winged aircraft, thus adding domestic cruise missile capability to our domestic UAVs.
Roketsan Çakır’s targets include surface targets, land and surface targets close to the shore, strategic land targets, area targets and caves. Warhead versions offer high destruction capability against these targets.
The engine is domestic
The domestic cruise missile Çakır uses the KTJ-1750 turbojet engine developed by Kale Arge with domestic and national resources.

Network based on Thanks to the structure, it also has the ability to change targets and cancel missions. It can work in flocks. It can attack in coordination with different ammunition.
Thanks to its unique body design with radar absorber feature, Çakır offers high survivability. In addition to its ability to fly very close to the water surface over the sea and to mask the terrain on land, it minimizes its detectability by enemy air defense systems with its radar-absorbing body structure.
Çakır can continue its course in cases of intense electronic jamming with its jam-proof GNSS and altimeter-supported inertial navigation system.
First flight in 2022
Çakır’s design work continues. The first test flight is planned for the end of this year from Akıncı TİHA. Integration studies will be completed in 2023 and will be ready for use.
