READING NOW Domain name sales via Google Domains have been stopped: The service has come to an end
In the past months, Google stated that it would pull the plug on another service. This service, Google Domains, will say goodbye to users after approximately 10 years of service. With the company’s new decision, Google Domains no longer allows domain name sales.

Users are redirected to Squarespace

Google, known for killing software services on which it spent millions of dollars, announced that the Google Domains service would be closed in recent months. Google, which sold customer accounts and domain names to Squarespace, began taking steps to shut down the service.

Google’s service, which allows domain name purchase and management, no longer sells new domain names. Users who try to purchase a domain name through this service are directed to Squarespace. However, users will be able to use and manage the services they have previously purchased until the service is closed. With the service completely shutting down, customers’ accounts and control options will switch to Squarespace. Apart from this, WordPress stated that for a short time, private Google Domains users can switch to their platform for free.
