Luxury Italian brand Dolce & Gabbana (D&G) announced that it will launch an NFT collection in collaboration with Polygon. NFTs will be launched on the Polygon NFT marketplace UNXD.
Dolce & Gabbana expands its NFT collection by partnering with Polygon’s NFT marketplace UNXD.
Inspired by Venice, the NFT collection is the world’s first ‘couture NFT collection’ with a nine-piece artwork.
The most famous of the collection is the “Doge Crown,” a digital artwork containing seven sapphires and 142 diamonds. The collection has been sold to private collectors for over $5.5 million in total, and Doge Crown has sold over $1.2 million.
In a recent Twitter post, D&G executive said;
D&G’s First NFT Collection Via Wrapped ETH
The D&G NFT will have multiple designs of each piece in different boxes, giving items in each box a different rarity and adding an additional element of exclusivity. While prices for the different boxes have not yet been disclosed, both Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana will design all the items in each box, in addition to any information regarding their supply.
However, in order to “provide a reasonable rarity”, the company says there will be less than 10,000 boxes, with prices to be announced 1-2 weeks before each drop.
The manager quoted;
The first planned D&G Family Box NFT will take place on UNXD on March 26 and sales will be priced in Wrapped ETH (wETH) through Polygon’s scaling network.
