Dogecoin Community Keeps Growing
Dogecoin’s Twitter account has grown over the past year, showing a 681% increase in the number of followers. Dogecoin’s Reddit community also has 2.3 million subscribers.
Dogecoin’s popularity exploded in the fourth quarter of 2021 due to the price rally driven by Elon Musk. The Dogecoin Twitter account had surpassed one million followers by the end of April.
However, this impressive growth stalled after the meme token price started crashing in early May. Still, Dogecoin outperformed many cryptocurrencies.
At the time of writing, Dogecoin is up 0.85%, trading at $0.1478, according to data from CoinMarketCap. The popular meme token remains the 11th largest cryptocurrency by market cap.
