In September 2022, Apple introduced and launched the Watch Ultra, the most durable and high-end smartwatch to date. While the device has just launched a brand new series, unexpected news came today.
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who has gained a reputation for the accuracy of his predictions and information about Apple products, suggested that Apple will introduce a new Watch Ultra model in the second half of 2023. Some details about the watch were also shared.
The new Apple Watch Ultra will be produced with 3D printing technology:
Sharing an article on Medium, Kuo made his first predictions about the new watch in favor of the material in his reviews on Apple’s supply chain. Accordingly, the second generation Apple Watch Ultra will host parts produced using 3D printing technology.
These parts will not be materials made of plastic. Apple will use 3D printing technology in mechanical parts made of titanium. Although it is not known exactly which of these parts will be, it is thought to be a Digital Crown, side button and action button.
Of course, 3D printing technology has a plus to offer to Apple. According to estimates, this technology will save time and cost in the production of parts.
The question that comes to our mind is this: Do we need the new Apple Watch Ultra?
The claim that the second generation Apple Watch Ultra will be introduced this year was actually made for the first time by Mark Gurman from Bloomberg. But whether such a watch is really needed is questionable.
Because the Apple Watch Ultra is home to today’s most durable smart watch body, high-end hardware parts and sensors. We will only have to wait and see what a new model will offer that will surpass these parts and the device itself in just one year.
