The makers of the sleep aid app called Sleep Reset claim it can help you sleep more and better without medication. In fact, many similar applications have the same claim.

The makers behind Sleep Reset also have a study to prove this claim. A group of researchers from the University of Arizona’s Sleep and Health Research Program has published an article in the peer-reviewed journal Frontiers in Sleep. The article shows the results of a 12-week program using the Sleep Reset app, which increased the average participant’s sleep time by at least 44 minutes.

Those who slept less than six hours a night increased their sleep time by 85 minutes, according to the study. Also, for participants who couldn’t sleep for 30 minutes after going to bed, this time was reduced by 53%. And those who typically spent an hour falling asleep were able to reduce the amount of time they stayed awake by 41 percent. Meanwhile, those who woke up more than three times during the night said they noticed that they woke up twice less during the night. The researchers say that almost half of the participants stopped using the app after completing the program.

The study included 564 people (65 percent women) aged 30 to 60 who followed a standardized curriculum for three months. They used Sleep Reset as it should. Sleep coaches gave them personalized recommendations via in-app messages and tracked their progress from within the app.

To use Sleep Reset, the user has to answer a series of questions about the type of sleep they’re getting and what issues they’re having trouble with. They are also asked to indicate what their goals are, such as feeling better rested or looking younger.

It is clearly stated in the research results that Sleep Reset is effective. The app uses the same scientifically proven methods used by top sleep clinics like Stanford and Mayo. It is also stated that Sleep Reset uses scientific strategies for insomnia, such as cognitive behavioral therapy-based techniques, and coaches users on behavioral timing, light exposure, and relaxation.
