CinemaCon, the only event where movie theater owners and movie makers meet every year, continues at full speed this year as well. Announcing the name of Avatar 2, which will be released this year after 13 years at the event, James Cameron attracted great attention.
However, another statement that overshadowed even this statement of James Cameron came from Disney. Disney officials shared a table with all the movies that will be released between 2022-2023. Some films in the table drew attention.
There are two Avatar movies in the table
The list you see above includes all Disney movies that are certain to be released in 2022-2023, chronologically. The list, which started with Doctor Strange, which will be released on May 6, will end with Ant-Man and Wasp: Quantumania, which will be released on July 28, 2023. The fact that there are also 2 Avatar movies on the list confused them. However, according to the information that emerged later, the second Avatar movie in the table actually indicates the date when the first movie will be re-released.
Here are the films that Disney will release in 2022-2023 and their vision dates;
- Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness: May 6, 2022
- The Bob’s Burgers Movie: May 27, 2022

- The Little Mermaid: May 26, 2023
- Indiana Jones 5: June 23, 2023
- Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania: July 28, 2023
Although this picture excited many Marvel fans, the absence of a new Avengers movie on the list upset many Marvel fans. Fans have said that they want to see the new Avengers team at least by the end of 2023.
Chiwetel Ejiofor, who played the character of Mordo in Doctor Strange, also explained that it was very interesting and exciting for the MCU universe to grow and “become a place independent of other Disney movies.”
This list published by Disney is unfortunately not definitive. As you know, many movies can be delayed due to technical problems while they are in production. Who knows, maybe Disney can offer us much more than what we see on this list.
