Dilan and Engin Polat couple and the “money laundering” investigation against this couple have been on our country’s agenda for a while. New information emerges every day throughout the process, which has now become half detective story and half magazine. Some of this information is about people’s private lives, some is about the money flows that are the subject of the investigation… After the investigation into the famous couple, all eyes turned to other phenomenon names on social media.
According to Odatv, the Ministry of Labor and Social Security is taking action to inspect the luxurious lives and posts of social media influencers. During the investigations, a list of approximately 600 social media influencers was compiled. If an illegal situation is detected during the investigation against these people, the relevant institutions and units will be contacted.
Nearly 600 phenomena will be examined
After the Polat couple was detained, many influencers, especially those who shared luxury and wealth-themed posts, either removed their posts or declared that the gold and money they used were fake equipment for content production. It has been seen that many influencers have shared much more modest and ordinary posts since the investigation process began.
Apart from influencers, those selling on social media will also be inspected. The Ministry of Commerce announced the Product Safety Project in eCommerce, which will ensure the inspection of products sold by phone or online. According to this project, products subject to e-commerce will be inspected upon seller request or complaint. When necessary, products will be supplied via secret shopping method.
