The 6-minute video shared by Apple contains various tips about phones with iOS 16 operating system. These usage tips include a customizable lock screen as well as many other features including extracting objects from photos.
Here is the list that Apple has prepared for iPhone users:
- If you touch and hold an object inside a photo in the Photos app on iOS 16, you can remove the object from the photo and place it in another app.
- The new Lock Screen on iOS 16 allows users to customize different elements including time and date, add widgets, and more.
- In Wi-Fi settings, you can select a registered Wi-Fi access point to copy and paste the wireless internet password.
- If you have something that you repeat over and over again, like your email or address, you can get around it by using a text exchange feature. You can edit this in Settings -> General -> Keyboard -> Text Replacement.
- You can add Low Power Mode to Control Center for easy access when your battery is getting low or you want to save some battery life when you don’t have access to a charger. You can adjust this setting via Settings -> Control Center.
- If you want to share multiple photos or move them to another app, tap and hold a photo, swipe to another location, then tap and continue to select other photos. Then you will be able to drag and drop all the photos to other apps or places on iOS.
- If you want to open the camera quickly, tap and hold the Camera shortcut in the lower right corner of your iPhone’s Lock Screen.
- In iOS 15 and later, you can now use Live Text to automatically translate text in the camera app or inside a photo. In the Camera app, point the camera at a text and tap Live Text appearing in the right corner, then select Translate from the options shown. This works especially well for photos already taken in the Photos app.
- You can easily scan a piece of paper and make a digital copy using the Notes app. The Notes app will automatically crop and edit the image properly so that the document looks legible without glare.
- If you are wondering what is your first photo in your photo library, you can easily find it with one tap. In the Photos app, simply tap the top edge of your iPhone to jump to the first photo in any library, album, or search result.
