Apple manages to leave its competitors behind in software update. Mobile analytics company Mixpanel has announced the usage rate of the iOS 15 version introduced last year.

iOS 15, high usage rate

Apple claimed that 72 percent of iPhones released in the last four years are using the latest iOS version. According to the Mixpanel report, iOS 15 approached 90 percent adoption rate 250 days after it was introduced.

Mixpanel officials underlined what they get from applications using the mobile analytics platform they developed. The company added that this data includes visits to websites.

iOS 15, unfortunately, was adopted slower than iOS 14 due to its bugs. In addition, iOS 15, although with minor changes, was appreciated by the users thanks to the improvements in the system applications.

Apple will introduce iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 versions at the WWDC22 conference that will be held between 6-10 June. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman stated that the iOS 16 update will be important for users. According to Bloomberg’s claim, Apple will meet users with its new lock screen design and new Apple applications. It is estimated that the new version of iPadOS will be offered to users with macOS-like features.

Updates will be available to select users until the last quarter of 2022. Instead, Apple will test all updates with beta testers and developers over the summer.
