Diablo is coming to Steam
Although available on consoles (except Switch), the PC version of the game was previously only available on Blizzard’s dedicated Battle.net service. Diablo IV’s move to Steam also aligns with Blizzard’s efforts to attract more PC players by releasing Overwatch 2 on Steam earlier this year. Blizzard has stated that it plans to bring more of its games to Steam, but has not shared which games it plans to offer on Steam or when it will be available.
Overwatch 2 was the first game Blizzard released on the platform, and it did not receive the desired attention upon its release. It currently has an “overwhelmingly negative” review score with over 190,000 comments, likely due to player dissatisfaction with the battle pass implementation and canceled content. Diablo IV, which was released in June this year, does not seem to have such a problem as it was generally well received. Moreover, the changes that will come with the new season may turn into an influx again.
