As of today, decentralized crypto exchange (DEX) aggregator Matcha has started blocking transactions from Russia.
The Block has confirmed that trading from a Russia-based server using VPN is not allowed. But the warning message has been changed. Changed message from “Russian Trade Not Supported” to “Region Not Supported”.
Although the platform refers to “region”, it seems to be targeting Russia. Russia’s neighbor Belarus currently has no problem in accessing Matcha. The platform is also inaccessible in China.
Matcha is the second largest DEX aggregator by volume. In the first place is 1 inch. 1inch has also blocked transactions from the USA.
DEX aggregators try to optimize trades by choosing from a range of possible exchanges.
