Cyberpunk 2077, an action role-playing genre developed by CD Projekt Red and published by CD Projekt in 2020, will soon receive the Phantom Liberty expansion pack. In a tweet from Cyberpunk 2077’s Twitter account, it was stated that more information about the Phantom Liberty expansion will be shared in June. According to CD Projekt Red, Phantom Liberty will be an espionage-thriller DLC for Cyberpunk 2077, set in a brand new area of Night City.
In the Phantom Liberty DLC, famed actor Idris Elba will play Solomon Reed, an FIA agent for the New United States. Sasha Gray will also be playing the voice of Ash, a radio DJ on 9.7 Growl FM, in this DLC. The expansion will also see the return of Keanu Reeves’ character Johnny Silverhand, along with a new cast of characters.
CD Projekt Red’s biggest-budget DLC
According to Marek Bugdol, director of investor relations, Phantom Liberty will have a larger budget than any other CD Projekt Red DLC to date. Meanwhile, CD Projekt said last September that Phantom Liberty is the only planned expansion for Cyberpunk 2077.
