Johnny Depp, whose Hollywood career ended after accusations made by actor Amber Heard, won his case against Heard. While Depp was expected to continue his career after this event, of course, the future of Pirates of the Caribbean was also curious.

Although the sixth film of the series was announced in 2018, there are still no details about the film. While it remains a matter of curiosity whether Depp will return to the series, in particular, some statements came from Sean Bailey, Head of Disney Studios Motion Picture Production.

Pirates of the Caribbean 6 will have “something new”:

Speaking to the New York Times, Bailey hinted that the story of the sixth film was completed. Bailey described the story they created as follows:

“We think we have a really good, exciting story that honors films that have come before but also has something new.”

While Bailey’s statement pointed out that a new movie is still on the way, the subject came to “Will Johnny Depp return?” this time. Bailey, on the other hand, shared that he could not respond to these allegations.

Will Johnny Depp return to the series?

The answer to this question is still unknown. But Jerry Bruckheimer, the mind behind the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, previously shared with The Hollywood Reporter that he wanted to see Depp back in the series:

“I would love to see him in the movie. He’s a friend, a great actor, and unfortunately our personal lives affect everything we do.”

Depp, on the other hand, announced that he would not be Jack Sparrow again, even if 300 million dollars were offered in the courtroom while the Amber Heard case was pending.
