Dell has officially introduced the world’s first 500Hz refresh rate gaming monitor. The model, which was introduced to the market under the name Alienware AW2524H, carries a 24.5-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels. It should be noted that the monitor with a base frequency of 480 Hz can go up to 500 Hz in overclocking mode.

The display used in the Alienware AW2524H offers 0.5 ms response time (GtG), 400 cd/m2 brightness, 1000:1 contrast ratio and 99% sRGB color gamut. The monitor, which also supports HDR, also has VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification. Not to mention NVIDIA G-Sync technology and TUV ComfortView Plus certification that protects users’ eyes from harmful blue light.

When will the Alienware AW2524H be released?

Dell’s new monitor features two HDMI 2.1, one DisplayPort 1.4 input, four 5 Gbps USB-A ports, customizable RGB lighting, two 3.5mm headphone jacks and a pull-out headphone hook.

It is stated that the monitor supports up to 240 Hz video output over HDMI. Dell did not reveal the price tag of the world’s first 500Hz refresh rate monitor. Sales of the Alienware AW2524H are scheduled to begin on March 21.
