WhatsApp introduces a new preview feature for voice messages that allows you to listen to a message after recording it, see if there are errors, and check the audio quality before sending. Voice messaging is nothing new and is an option that serves as a useful middle ground between real-time voice conversations and handwritten messages. These types of messages are more personal than a text message and much more flexible than phone calls.
WhatsApp already makes it possible to record and send voice messages to your contacts. Sending a voice message with the app was easy, but background noise or interference can make a significant portion of what you’re recording inaudible. It was not possible to detect these erroneous messages until the recipient of the message told them.
The new Voicemail Preview option lets you listen to a message after you’ve recorded it, so if you realize you’ve made a mistake or the sound quality is poor, or you just think you can somehow sound a message better, you can delete and re-record it before sending it. . .
