MtGox creditors have until March 10 to register and choose the repayment option to recover their losses on the bankrupt crypto exchange.
The other day, MtGox trustee Nobuaki Kobayashi issued a notice reminding creditors who have not registered to receive reimbursement that they must register by March 10.
Kobayashi did not state a reason for the extension, which would allow people who suffered losses at MtGox to choose a reimbursement method and record their information in an “online rehabilitation claim filing system.”
Repeated Warning Notice to MtGox Creditors
MtGox trustee Nobuaki Kobayashi reiterated that creditors on the bankrupt crypto exchange have until March 10 to request repayment.
The exchange’s creditors have options to request payment through a lump sum, wire transfer, fund transfer service provider, a cryptocurrency exchange or custodian. Experts claimed that after the collapse of the MtGox exchange, user losses could be worth billions of dollars.
This warning notice by Kobayashi could be the final announcement of repayment plans starting in 2018. About 99 percent of creditors approved this plan in 2021. In addition, Kobayashi announced that the payment plan had received approval from the Japanese court and was finally accepted.
