A while ago, it was announced that Ghost of Tsushima has sold more than 8 million copies. Now, PlayStation exclusive game Days Gone Director has stated a sales figure for the 2019 game. Jeff Ross, who directed Days Gone and subsequently left the studio, said on Twitter that when he left Sony, Days Gone had only sold 8 million copies on console.
Ross said it later sold more on PlayStation consoles. He also stated that it has reached more than 1 million sales figures on Steam.
Former Days Gone manager made a statement
Ross said that local studio management always disappoints them. Ross noted that press coverage is a factor. Saying that, he kept the review scores out. He then declared that the press was not helping their case.
Ross said that Sony management believes in Death Stranding more than Days Gone. The developer also made statements about the development of the game.
“Development was a long struggle, but we were a small team learning to make our first open world game. All things considered, it’s incredible that we finished. ”
Jeff Ross
Jeff Ross left Bend Studio, the game’s developer, in December 2020. Despite huge sales, Bend Studio doesn’t seem to have any plans for a sequel focusing on a new IP.
