Date announced for Intel Raptor Lake refresh
Intel Raptor Lake Refresh, exactly as the name suggests, will bring minor optimizations to the current 13th Gen Raptor Lake processors. Reportedly, these new CPUs will continue to use the Intel 7 processing node and will be compatible with existing LGA 1700/1800 motherboards.
The Intel Raptor Lake Refresh family is expected to include all consumer and entry-level workstation platforms with 35W, 65W, and 125W processors. In this context, we can say that it will be an intermediate solution before the Meteor Lake/Arrow Lake architecture.
If we recall, a recent roadmap from Intel showed us that Intel Raptor Lake Refresh desktop processors will be released in the third quarter of 2023. The reports shared today say that the new processor family will be introduced in August of this year. Considering the competition in the processor market, it should be noted that the new news is not surprising. As a matter of fact, recently AMD renewed its Zen 4 Ryzen 7000 series with 3D V-Cache Ryzen 7000X3D models. It looks like Intel is planning a quick response to its closest competitor.
