Intel continues its preparations for the Raptor Lake Refresh and Meteor Lake processors, which will be released later this year. In this context, we have heard many leaks about both processor families. Now, in a new report from Intel, the launch date of Meteor Lake processors has surfaced. The wait will be over very soon.

Date given for Intel Meteor Lake processors

For those who don’t know, Meteor Lake processors will be Intel’s first consumer CPU with Forveros 3D Packaging technology. In this context, different production processes between layers can be used in processors that will host layers such as the computing unit, SOC-LP unit and GPU unit. The most important of these will be the VPU (AI Engine), which is one of the key components of Meteor Lake.

As you may recall, previous reports pointed to the end of 2023 for Intel Meteor Lake processors. Today, Intel released the session schedule for its September 19 Innovation event. This listing confirms that some of its activity will be reserved for Meteor Lake processors only. Additionally, a roadmap specific to AI will be presented.

Although Intel has made some statements about the Meteor Lake architecture, details such as the models that will be included in the architecture, the number of cores, clock speeds and performance positions have not been disclosed yet. The only confirmed information is that Intel’s new hybrid and multi-die architecture will adopt a new naming scheme called Core Ultra. Non-Ultra processors in the same series will be based on the Raptor Lake architecture.
