In a new promotional image shared today, Xiaomi confirmed that the highly anticipated Redmi 12 5G model will be introduced on August 1. For those who don’t know, this device was said to be a rebranded version of the Redmi 12R. We can say that the newly shared information confirms this.
Redmi has not disclosed the technical specifications of the Redmi 12 5G in detail. However, some key specs of the smartphone have been confirmed, including a 50MP primary camera, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage and a 5,000mAh battery. According to current reports, the Redmi 12 5G, which will showcase its Crystal Glass design, will have a 6.79-inch IPS LCD panel on the front that offers FHD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate.
This design will be accompanied by a 5MP front camera for video calls and selfie shots. The Redmi 12 5G is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 platform.
