Binance CEO CZ evaluated the departure of Brian Shroder, CEO of the US branch, as “taking a break” from the company.
Shroder reportedly left the firm on Tuesday as one-third of Binance US employees were laid off. Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) attributed the recent departure of the head of the crypto exchange’s US arm to the need for a break.
Sharing his views on X, CZ attracted attention!
Commenting on the recent separations, CZ shared, “Brian Shroder is taking a well-deserved break after accomplishing what he set out to do when he joined two years ago.” said. Stating that under Shroder’s leadership, Binance US increased its capital, improved its products and services, and strengthened its processes, CZ made a generally positive assessment.
Drawing attention with his statements, Binance’s CEO said, “The crypto market is in a different place now than it was two years ago, with a rapidly evolving and increasingly hostile regulatory environment. Former SEC, New York Fed, Ripple and DTCC executive Norman Reed is the right person to lead Binance.” he added.
