Changpeng “CZ” Zhao, CEO of Binance, is considering withdrawing from the deal after the US review.
CZ hinted in a tweet that he was considering leaving the Voyger deal. CZ said that this process can be terminated.
CZ Considers Withdrawing From Voyager Agreement
Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao said in a tweet that Binance may consider terminating a transaction accepted by the US arm of the exchange to buy bankrupt crypto lender Voyager Digital.
Since its signing in December, a number of regulators in the US have contested the deal, which will sell Voyager’s assets to Binance.US in a transaction previously valued at $1 billion. Binance Holdings Ltd. does not have the authority to operate in the country and establish Binance.US as a separate company in 2019.
