Cybertruck, which is claimed to be released in 2021, has been delayed for about 3 years. According to the leaked information, Tesla Cybertruck production will start at Gigafactory Texas in the last quarter of 2023.
Tesla Cybertruck production to begin in 2023
Answering questions about Cybertruck at the 2022 fourth quarter financial meeting, Elon Musk said, “You will take a step for production this summer. But mass production of the new model will not begin until next year. The start of production is an unimportant detail for us.” made statements.
Tesla CyberTruck will appear in 3 different versions. The company announced that it has decided to postpone the production of the entry-level single engine, two-wheel drive (RWD) model. It is worth noting that the number of pre-orders for the Tesla Cybertruck model is approximately 1.5 million.
Cybertruck promises to deliver “a better driving experience than a truck with more performance than a sports car.” When introduced in November 2019, a base price of $39,900 was promised for the entry-level single-engine Cybertruck.
The three-engine version of the Cybertruck model will have a range of more than 800 kilometers. However, it will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds.
The most important development in the Cybertruck model will be in the electronics part. Full Self Driving software runs on what Tesla calls Hardware 3 today. The 4th version, which started to be developed last year, will be released with Cybertruck.
